-Day-to-day responsibility for the department
-Responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of professional service at all times in the restaurant and bar areas and overseeing the day-to-day operation, including cleanliness of the restaurant and coffee bar within the hotel.
-Responsible for recruiting,managing, inducting, training, performance and development of all restaurantand bar staff to the hotel high standards which includes conducting staffappraisals, probationary reviews, conducting hearings when required in linewith the hotel policies.
-Monitoring absence rates withinthe department, carrying out return to work interviews and liaising with adminin respect of absence or sickness issues.
-Assist Accountant to purchaseF&B inventories when required.
-Responsible for handling of escalated comments from guests and resolving in line with company procedures.
-Monitor/manage the financialperformance of the department (including costs) on a monthly basis and agreecorrective actions if appropriate.
-Responsible for ensuring allsales are documented and forward all room charge receipts to front office topost to guest accounts.
-Ensuring the accurate recordkeeping of complimentary items to account for stock deficiencies.
-Hold regular staff meetings and briefings with team members as required.
-Be on call in case of emergencies.
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Minimum 4years’ experience in restaurant or bar
-Good English communication skill (Written & Verbal)
-Familiarity with telephone, office and point-of-sale (POS) software
-Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays subject to Rota and willingness to extend of change hours and days of work from time to time upon request and subject to operational requirements.
